Frequently Asked Questions
How long are sessions?
Standard sessions are 53 minutes; the initial consultation is 75 minutes.
Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
Yes. In-person sessions are available in Baltimore City. I also provide telehealth through a secure HIPAA-compliant platform. As a PsyPact credentialed provider, I can work remotely with clients in other PsyPact participating states. See participating states here.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider. I provide a monthly superbill with all necessary information to submit to your insurance for an out-of-network claim for psychotherapy. Some insurance companies do not cover out-of-network psychotherapy, so I recommend that clients to call their insurance company to find out what their coverage is before beginning therapy.
Do you provide a Good Faith Estimate?
Yes. In accordance with the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use insurance (self-pay) have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of therapy. This estimate includes my session fees and provides a cost range based on typical frequency of sessions. The actual number of sessions will depend on your specific needs and goals.
What are your fees and cancellation policy?
Please contact me directly to discuss current fees. I ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule; late cancellations may be charged the full session fee.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes, with certain exceptions required by law (such as safety concerns or mandated reporting).
