Supporting your path to clarity and well-being.
A collaborative space grounded in respect, reflection, and care — where therapy honors your story and supports your personal growth.
About Me
I’m Dr. Randi Schwartz, a licensed psychologist with over 30 years of clinical experience. I hold a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from New York University and an M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling from Boston University. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in diverse settings, from private practice and hospitals to community mental health centers, which has given me a broad perspective on healing and growth.
My clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, and approachable. While we may address difficult topics like anxiety, trauma, OCD, relational concerns, chronic illness, and life transitions, we will also make time to recognize progress and celebrate your resilience. My specialized training as an EMDRIA Certified Therapist™ and my work with the International OCD Foundation have provided me with powerful tools to support you.
I welcome and affirm clients from diverse racial, cultural, religious, and LGBTQ+ backgrounds. Above all, I believe therapy should be a place where people feel fully seen, respected, and supported as they work toward the changes that are most meaningful in their lives.
I have the following credentials:
- Licensed Psychologist in Maryland
- EMDRIA Certified Therapist™ (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, through the EMDR International Association)

My Approach
Therapy is a collaborative and compassionate space where you are listened to without judgment and where healing happens through understanding, reflection, and action.
My integrative approach draws on a range of evidence-based and insight-oriented therapies:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to address anxiety disorders and OCD.
- Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to help process trauma and distressing events.
- Mindfulness to build self-awareness and resilience.
- Relational and Insight-Oriented Psychotherapy to explore how early experiences and attachment patterns influence current relationships, challenges, and personal growth.
- Trauma-Informed Care to create an environment of safety, trust and collaboration while supporting empowerment in the healing process.
